Caroline Cashion
I am a rising sophomore at the University of Alabama, where I am pursuing a double major in finance and mathematics with a concentration in risk management. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work at First Farmers and gain hands-on experience in banking and wealth management. This internship is a valuable step toward my long-term goal of building a career in Actuarial Science. After graduation, I hope to return to Tennessee and apply my skills in a professional setting.

I’m a junior at the University of Tennessee at Martin, majoring in Business Management with a concentration in Sports Management and a minor in Marketing. This is my first summer with the program, and I’m excited to continue learning and gaining experience. I’m still exploring my options for after graduation and look forward to discovering the path that best aligns with my interests and goals. In my free time, I enjoy playing golf and spending time outdoors.

I’m currently an accounting major at the University of Tennessee at Martin. I’ve been part of this program for two summers, and it’s been a great experience that’s helped shape my academic and career goals. I’m planning to either pursue a law degree or become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) after graduation. Outside of school, I’m very involved in my church, where I play in the worship band. Music is a big part of my life. I play three instruments and love using them to connect with others and serve my community.

I’m currently in my second year at Freed-Hardeman University. I’ll be graduating next year with both my undergraduate and master’s degrees. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to play two seasons of Division II basketball and coach one year of NAIA basketball – both experiences that have shaped my passion for leadership and teamwork. After graduation, I plan to pursue my CPA certification. One of the things I’ve enjoyed most about this program is meeting new people every week, while rotating through different roles and environments. It’s been a great way to grow both personally and professionally.

I’m a Business Management major at the University of Tennessee at Martin, entering my junior year. Since April 2024, I’ve been part of the Workplace Mentor Program, and this summer I’m gaining hands-on experience as a Summer Relief Teller. On campus, I’m active in the Student Government Association and Zeta Tau Alpha. The program’s training has boosted my confidence in helping customers, and I’ve enjoyed visiting different branches and meeting great people. I’m excited to explore the many career paths in banking and hope this experience will help shape my future direction.
Anna Shannon
I recently graduated from the University of North Alabama in May 2025. I’ve always had a passion for technology, and I’m excited to start my journey in the IT field. Outside of work and school, I love spending time outdoors – camping and kayaking are two of my favorite ways to unwind and recharge. I’m looking forward to what the future holds and the opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.

I recently graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Finance. My wife and I are heading back to Knoxville this fall as she continues her law school journey. We got married this spring—on the same day I graduated! Outside of work, I enjoy farming and spending time with our 2-year-old St. Bernard, Layla. I love meeting new people and reconnecting with old friends. I’ve been part of this program for three years and have truly enjoyed the experience. This summer, I’m excited to continue learning and exploring new departments.
