
COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Jason R. Redd has joined First Farmers and Merchants Bank, a community bank with 22 full-service locations in eight Middle Tennessee counties, as chief audit officer. In this role, Redd is responsible for First Farmers’ financial, operational, and compliance audits and overseeing the bank’s information security and vendor risk management responsibilities. He will manage First Farmers’ internal audit plan assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, and he will manage the internal audit department.

Redd was most recently chief financial officer at Southern Community Bank. He has worked in management roles at Birmingham, Ala.-based Colonial Properties Trust, Superior Bank, and Aramark Uniform Services.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His certifications and professional designations include: certified public accountant (CPA), chartered global management accountant (CGMA), certified information technology professional (CITP), and certified community bank technology officer (CCBTO).
