John M. Hollingsworth serves as a Senior Officer and SBA Loan Director at First Farmer’s Brentwood location.  John has over 38 years of banking experience as an accomplished bank executive with a consistent track record of career achievement.  He has held leadership positions in bank management, credit policy implementation, pro-actives sales development and production development.  John’s diverse banking experience includes leadership roles in market management, commercial credit, commercial lending, treasury management, merchant services and retail banking.

Prior to joining First Farmers in March of 2017, John worked for Metropolitan Bank upon arriving in Nashville.  Before moving to Tennessee, he was bank president for First American Bank in Iowa, overseeing their Des Moines metro market.  John is past board president for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, along with previously holding board positions with The Nashville City Club and the Brentwood Family YMCA.

John has worked for financial institutions in Iowa, Michigan, Illinois and Washington state since beginning his banking career in June 1987.

A native of Seattle, Washington, he graduated from Washington State University, with a degree in Communications.  He and his wife Laura currently reside in Brentwood, with their 20-year old twins.
