
COLUMBIA, Tenn. (April 5, 2019)—First Farmers and Merchants Bank––a community bank serving Middle Tennessee with 22 banking locations in seven counties––recently added Clay Barnes as a business banking relationship manager. Barnes will serve Williamson County businesses from the First Farmers office in Berry Farms.

Barnes joins First Farmers with 15 years of banking experience. He most recently served as vice president and retail market manager for Synovus Bank. There he was responsible for reaching deposit and lending production targets for both consumer and business categories.
A graduate of University of Tennessee, Barnes was a branch manager for US Bank and has held roles with Heartland Wholesale Funding, Argent Mortgage and Delta Funding.
Barnes is board chair elect for Community Partnership of Williamson County and is the treasurer of the Cool Springs Rotary Club.
