Hunter DeBerry joins First Farmers

COLUMBIA, Tenn. (Mar. 4, 2021)—First Farmers and Merchants Bank—a community bank with 22 locations throughout Middle Tennessee—announced that Hunter DeBerry has joined the company as a Private Banking Officer serving Maury County.

DeBerry most recently served as Maury County President at TriStar Bank and had worked for TriStar since 2016. He began his career at Hardin County Bank in Savannah, Tenn., and brings nine years of community banking experience to his new role with First Farmers.

DeBerry serves on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Bankers Association Young Bankers Division, Leadership Maury and Columbia Breakfast Rotary Club. Additionally, he belongs to the Maury County Chamber of Commerce Alliance & Economic Development Finance Committee.

He earned his bachelor’s in business management from Bethel University and completed the Southeastern School of Banking and Southeastern School of Advanced Commercial Lending. He is currently enrolled at the LSU Graduate School of Banking and resides in Columbia, Tenn., with his wife, Ellie, and daughter, Annie James.
