Women & Wealth: Building Financial Confidence

As the number of women managing their finances rises, we women must be equipped to handle our money successfully and be confident in our decisions. One way to achieve this is through financial planning.

In my experience, I’ve seen many women default to their partners when it comes to wealth management. Everyone should be informed and involved when it comes to money and planning for their financial future.

The First Farmers Wealth Management Department includes MoneyGuidePro in our services, a software that can help clients visualize their goals and lessen financial concerns. This software incorporates client goals, current assets, liabilities and other similar information to establish the probability of the goals being met. If the goals and current assets seem imbalanced, our financial planners are here to help make the appropriate adjustments.

As more women take control of their finances and more tools become available to help them do so, the importance of women’s wealth education grows. Whether a woman already finds herself in control of her household’s funds or not, wealth education increases confidence and the ability to handle all financial situations as they arise.

Statistically, women are less likely to have financial discussions with their friends. One way to start your path to financial confidence is to meet with other women in a casual atmosphere to discuss money and available strategies and resources to maximize it. This is an excellent space to ask questions and feel comfortable gathering helpful information. First Farmers will host these types of events in its upcoming women’s circles, aiming to educate women of any age about topics like investing, retirement and estate planning. No one should feel like they are navigating the waters of wealth management alone. If you are interested in learning more about future women’s circles, reach out to dawn.moore@myfirstfarmers.com.

Whether you need to start an investment account, evaluate your financial goals or are interested in learning more to better prepare for the future, First Farmers is here for you every step of the way.
